The First Six Days: A Bible Story for Kids

Where did everything come from? It's one of the very first big questions a curious child asks — and it's exactly where Levi and Ember begin their very first adventure together in Episode 1 of Levi & Ember: Wonders of Creation.
What the Bible Says Happened
The Bible opens with six historic days in which God made everything that exists — the sky, the land, the seas, the sun, moon and stars, every plant and animal, and finally the first man and woman. Genesis describes each of these as a normal day, made up of an evening and a morning, the same kind of day your family experiences right now. After each day's work, God rested on the seventh, giving us the pattern for our own week.
For families who read the Bible as straightforward history — including ours — this isn't a poem or a legend. It's a real account of how the world began, not so long ago as many textbooks suggest, but within the span of a few thousand years.
Walking Through Creation Week With Levi & Ember
In the episode, Levi opens his Wonder Journal and takes Ember all the way back to the very beginning:
Day 1: Light appears, and darkness is pushed back for the first time.
Day 2: The sky takes shape, separating the waters above from the waters below.
Day 3: Dry land rises from the sea, and the very first plants begin to grow.
Day 4: The sun, moon, and countless stars are set in place.
Day 5: The seas fill with fish and every kind of sea creature, and birds take to the sky.
Day 6: Land animals appear — and then, God makes the first man, a special part of His creation, made in His own image.
Day 7: God rests, and looks over everything He has made, calling it "very good."
Each of these becomes its own beautifully animated moment in the episode, with Levi and Ember reacting right alongside your child — gasping at the first light, giggling as Ember imagines flying with the birds, and sitting quietly together at the end to take it all in.
A Simple Conversation Starter for Your Family
After watching, try asking your child:
"Which day of Creation was your favorite? What do you think it would have been like to see the very first sunrise?"
It's a small question, but it opens the door to a big and wonderful truth: the world we live in — every color, every creature, every star — was made on purpose, by a Creator who called it very good.
